The unique, aluminium case surrounds a dial design based on a stellar measuring and guiding eyepiece used in a telescope. A linear scale crosses the dial, while the outer edge is a right ascension scale. While this optic has now been superceded by digital imaging technology, utilization of the RA scale in this way provides hour makers and a connection to the greatest timepieces of all; the stars.
